2013 Resolutions

I made more than one resolution this year. My first resolution is to continue with the book list. I am going to read 52 books this year, One every week. I will write-up a quick review post on here and then put the book on the 2013 book list tab.

My second resolution is to continue working very hard in school so that I pass and get my degree this year. I am super excited! Unless you have been to nursing school you cannot fully appreciate the insanity that it is. We began 101 with 60 students. We are beginning this final year with 15 of them. It is crazy to think that only 1 out of 4 of us made it this far!!

My third resolution is a big one! It is something I no doubt have in common with a lot of Americans. It is to get our finances in order so that we can buy a house. We have moved around a ton and we have done a lot of renting. My husband and I were recently talking about life, kids, and getting older. We realised that we are finally ready to settle down for a while. We agreed that if we were going to stay in one area for at least 5 years that it was only logical to buy a house. We would like a place with at least 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a two car garage for my husband, a big back yard for the kids, an open floor plan, and room to entertain. I like a place that has good flow! We will have to make some sacrifices and watch our money more carefully. I really think that with a little hard work we can do this. I will post any money-saving tips and tricks I find that really work.

Hope that all of you have a wonderful 2013 and may all your resolutions go well!!
