October Goals 2019 – End of Month Review

October Goals

  • Complete Blogtober
  • Practice Filming/Vlogging
  • Save Money
  • Continue Decluttering/Use Our Facebook Yardsale Group
  • Enjoy Fall/Halloween
  • Classes/Groups/Socialize More

We had a crazy, busy month! Due to all the madness, we were unable to complete daily blogging for blogtober. I’m still super proud of what we pulled off because we blogged more days than not, even with all the craziness.

We didn’t practice filming at all. It turns out my hand injury is taking longer than I expected to heal up. I’m currently doing exercises to strengthen it and return normal flexibility. Once it’s back to normal, I plan to start filming. I’m not sure if I’ll attempt to turn them into vlogs or just consider it practice. We have been seriously considering starting our YouTube channel before we leave instead of when we start our trip. We wouldn’t start daily vlogging until we start traveling but there are interesting things going on while we are preparing. I feel like some of the preparations could be interesting to other people too. Any thoughts?

We didn’t save much this month but we did check a huge thing off our to do list! We bought the suburban we will be towing our travel trailer with. We had to pay for a few repairs immediately and were able to cover them in cash. We did empty our savings and will be spending the next few months replacing them.

We have been continuing our decluttering efforts. We hope to post the first box of items on our Facebook yard sale tomorrow. Isabella has been helping with so many things. She loves any excuse to take pictures so she has volunteered to take pictures of all the things we are putting on Facebook. We plan to work on it a box or two at a time. This way we are continuing to make progress but it’s slightly less overwhelming. We have so much stuff to get through before we sell the house.

We did our best to enjoy the fall/Halloween season. Honestly, it was a difficult month for us. We were thrilled to buy our towing vehicle but it was very time consuming. My hand is healing but has really cost me a lot of time too. I had additional appointments and paperwork issues but the biggest problem with it was my inability to do things as fast as I normally can. Not being able to use my dominant hand has been very difficult. Everything takes so much longer or I have to get help. We did manage to go on a few outings, carve pumpkins, bake Halloween cookies, decorate, and make some fun crafts. We went trick or treating tonight even though it was freezing. I think the girls still had a great month.

We haven’t had much time for groups or classes but we did get together with friends and family more this month. Our girls were plenty busy, that’s for sure.
