Keep Our Family Occupied/Sane

The biggest goal for the month is simply to keep ourselves busy and sane to help it pass. We are on a stay at home order until at least April 30th. Our kids are used to traveling and going on outings a lot but they have done really well so far. We have used up a lot of our craft kits, art supplies, and activities. We had already purchased most of their Easter gifts before all of this started and some activities were included. We may order/buy some more things to keep them busy. Perhaps some outdoor toys for the yard like this water table.

Keep Working on our Home

I really want our house done. Maybe it’s because I’ve been in the house so much that it’s driving me crazy. There are so many home projects that we want to finish. Whether we sell it soon or stay here longer because of the current pandemic situation, we want to just get the stuff done. If we do have to stay here longer, why not make the best of it. We still have supplies for a few more home projects that we will likely do first. I have trouble just sitting around so I will likely be doing a lot of stuff over the next month while stuck at home.

Bake and Cook More

I love to bake and cook. Since we are stuck at home, I have been spending a lot more time in the kitchen. Finally breaking in my beautiful Kitchenaid Mixer! The whole family approves and is happy to eat whatever I decide to make. The kids love to help me with anything that they can. Isabella has been learning loads of stuff. I really want to keep this going into April. Honestly, I forgot how much I love cooking and baking. Our lives are so busy that it’s normally hard to find the time.

Pinterest

We have been discussing ways to increase our blog traffic and share our content with more people. I have decided that I would like to learn more about Pinterest. I’m really working to understand Pinterest SEO. I get the basics of using Pinterest but I’m working hard on the marketing side. Also, I would like to clean up both my public and private Pinterest a little.

Work on the Blog

We have been working so hard on the blog. We are really trying hard to upgrade our old posts, keep up with our posting schedule, and learn everything we can to improve your experience while reading. This started as a hobby blog and has slowly grown into something more. We are trying hard to keep up with everything. Michael and I both love to learn about new stuff so that has really helped the situation.

Declutter Kid’s Clothing

Isabella (10) and Octavia (3) have way too many clothes. Their clothing no longer fits into the storage they have in their room. I’m sure that many of them don’t fit properly. Both of the girls have grown a lot recently. We plan to weed out the clothing that is stained or has holes too. After that, we will also be getting rid of any pieces that don’t go well with anything or using them as play clothing. The plan is to eventually downsize to a capsule wardrobe while traveling so that everything coordinates and can be worn together in any combination.

Let’s hope this month flies by! What are you hoping to get done this month? How are you handling staying at home? We’d love to hear about! Drop us a comment below.
