July 2019 Goals – End of Month Review

July 2019 Goals

  • Enjoy ourselves!
  • Start Saving for SUV
  • Continue Decluttering/Yard Sale
  • Blog/Social Media Goals
  • Work on House

I’m sorry this is so late folks! We have had a crazy couple weeks and gotten very behind on things. I have missed writing. In the last couple of weeks we have been riding a roller coaster of good and bad, including computer problems, fun family days, a bee sting, being sick, hiking, hours on the road, a scammy car dealer, and a few big decisions. We mostly met our first goal of enjoying ourselves in July. We had a ton of fun family days and tried to enjoy as much time as possible in the great outdoors.

We started saving for an SUV. We didn’t make much of an impact. We managed to save about $500. My husband stumbled upon an amazing deal on the perfect SUV that was 4.5 hours from our house. We discussed it and decided to take out a personal loan from our credit union before taking the very long drive. It turned out to be a huge fiasco. Michael had asked about rust and the interior. The pictures had been edited and there were areas on the car that had been spray painted over. The whole thing was really disappointing. We paid back the loan the next day. We told ourselves that it wasn’t meant to be and we will find something perfect eventually.

We continued our decluttering. We donated some stuff to charity and gave things to friends. Our house is becoming more comfortable all the time.

I started the month of July off with the best intentions but things really went down hill as the month went on. I’m hoping to get back on track with my posting schedule. Again, I’m sorry.

We have continued to slowly work on our house. We didn’t do a ton in July but we did keep things moving forward.

I’m hopeful that the rest of August will go better. I will be discussing those big decisions in an upcoming post. Wow! Big Changes coming!
