Breakfast Picnic and A New Park

Breakfast Picnic and A New Park

Life around here can get a little crazy. Homeschooling is awesome but it does cause additional stress at times especially while we are still trying to figure it all out. We needed a break! I decided that we would get that with a super laid back morning. We got out of bed and threw on comfy clothes. I stopped at Starbucks for a little pick me up. Then we picked up some bagels and cream cheese to go from the Panara Bread in Florence, KY.

I looked up parks on the GPS and we went to nearby Covered Bridge Park. We had never been here and I figured we could try it. It was in a neighborhood and I wouldn’t have ever found it without GPS. There’s a small parking area next to a basketball court. Next to that is a picnic area and a small playground.

We sat at the picnic tables and enjoyed our bagels. The girls played on the playground. There wasn’t a soul in sight. We walked along the path to the other side of the grassy field.

There was some older playground equipment on that side. The little girls played for a few minutes.

It was a small park and nothing exciting but it was a welcome break from our normal routine. Sometimes we all just need a little break and there’s nothing quite as relaxing as breakfast outside followed by playing and walking. We returned home late morning ready to buckle down and finish some school work. Being able to do stuff like this when we need to is my favorite thing about homeschooling!
