Whether you’re hoping for a single day, a weekend, or a multiday super marathon, we got you covered with the best movie ideas. We have included where you can find them if we found them on stream anywhere at the time of this post. If not, we linked them to buy or rent.

Series

Lord of the Rings

This will forever be one of my favorites! It’s such a great story and always pulls me in. If you watch the extended versions, you will need two days or you will need to stay up late and really dedicate a whole day which can be a lot of fun too. If you want more, you can add The Hobbit movies too!

Harry Potter

Another classic! At eight movies, this one will take at least two days but could easily be a multi-day marathon. If you want more, you can add Fantastic Beasts too!

The Matrix

This movie was amazing and is just as much fun all these years later. You can do this in one long day or separate it into two. Netflix

Star Wars

We just recently did this on Disney+ and decided to split it up into 4 days with the kids. It was so much fun!

Toy Story

The perfect option for the whole family and all of them are on Disney+. You could this in one day or you could do one movie a night for 4 days which is loads of fun too. It gives the kids something to look forward to all day.

How to Train Your Dragon

This is another family-friendly option. There are three movies that you could watch in a day or spread out the fun for 3 movie nights. If you want more, there is a Netflix series too! The Hidden World is on Hulu.

Scream

This is a great trilogy! If you want more, they made this into a show but we haven’t seen it yet. Netflix has 2, 3, and the show.

Guardians of the Galaxy

These movies are a load of fun! Disney+

Spider-Man

Our favorite superhero! Spider-Man has it all! Hulu has the first movie. I linked the rental for number 2 on Amazon. Netflix has 3 and Into the Spider-Verse. Disney+ has some of the animated ones.

Kill Bill

Do you want a two movie marathon? Try this iconic film that’s currently on Hulu!

National Treasure

This is one of Michael’s all-time favorite movies. It makes for a short but intense marathon! The first one is on Netflix. Both of them are on Disney+.

Godzilla

I (Crystal) adore Godzilla! Such a great concept. Watch them all! There are some on Netflix.

Back to the Future

A blast from the past! Pun intended. The third one is on Netflix.

There are tons of these if you’re feeling it! Disney+

Iron Man

We recently did this marathon on Disney+ and loved it.

Sing-Along and Have a fabulous time! Disney+ has all of the original movies plus extras.
