Getting Nostalgic at Meadowlake Park in Enid, OK

We recently took a short trip to Enid, OK so we could visit some of my husband’s family. While we were there, my husband got a little nostalgic and wanted to visit the park he played at as a child. We stopped on the way to the park at Sonic for Slushies.

It was a lot of fun to hear his stories of fishing with his grandma and riding his bike down the slide. The girls had a good time playing at the playground. It is good sized and well maintained. After the first play area, we walked along the lake. There were ducks and people feeding them. It’s a very pretty city park. We all needed to spend some time outside after that super long car ride the day before.

There is another area on the other side of the lake that we drove to next. This is where the large slide from Michael’s story used to be. It has since been replaced with a new one. We had so much fun going down the new slide. There were swings on this side near the lake that Isabella, Octavia, and I spent quite a while on. What is it about swings and slides that turn us all into little kids again?

Do you like to visit new parks when traveling to new places?
