Noodles and Sushi at Oishi Express Japanese Grill – Florence, KY

We had heard some great things about Oishi Express and decided it was finally time to try it. It’s a small restaurant at the end of a small strip mall. I would have totally missed it without GPS. Parking was easy though and there was no wait for a table. Our waitress was a lovely lady and came out immediately to bring us menus and get our drink order.

I love the bench seating here! There are chairs at some tables if you’re not a bench fan. The way this place is set up allows you to watch them cook. That’s always a fun concept. The girls were so into the interior! We love the kawaii girls on the wall!

We got three sushi rolls because they had a deal, three rolls for $12.99. We did a spicy crab, a spicy tuna, and a California roll. They were all pretty good. The ingredients were fresh and they made them after we ordered.

Ivy ordered Shrimp Lo Mein teriyaki noodles. They were loaded with Shrimp! She couldn’t finish them after eating a sushi roll. She ate about half and took the rest to go.

Isabella and Octavia shared an order of egg fried rice. It was the perfect size for the two of them. The eggs were perfect and ample. Isabella was raving about how good this was. Octavia doesn’t enjoy eating meat so this was the perfect meal for her.

I went with the Chicken Udon Teriyaki Noodles. I gave some of it to both of the little girls to try with their rice. Octavia stole some of my broccoli. This was a decent plate of noodles.  I was debating between this and the soup noodles. They had a huge pot of broth that looked and smelled fabulous. Udon is one of my favorites and it had been a while so I went with it. I’ll have to try those soup noodles next time!

Water $0

Sushi $12.99

Shrimp Noodles $8.99

Chicken Udon $9.49

Egg Fried Rice $5.99

Total: $37.46 + tax & tip

This was a great experience and very well priced. If you’re in the area, I recommend this place! They have rolled ice cream too but we were way too full.
